Honey bees (Apis mellifera) are an invasive species in the New World. However, they play an important role in pollinating native plants and in agriculture. Our research focuses on two aspects of honey bee biology. First, we are examine factors that influence honey bee health and their current population decline. Second, we will conduct studies on basic honey bee foraging and foraging communication biology
