As a project under the umbrella of Te Pu Atitia, I will lead a four-week educational outreach program at three of Moorea's elementary schools--Haapiti, Maatea, and Teavaro, focused on biodiversity and insects. The program will involve several lessons on-site in the CM2 classrooms at the three schools, along with a field trip to collect insects. Students will learn how to identify, catch, and curate native insect biodiversity and will present at a capstone presentation to the community. The curriculum will address several of the French Polynesian educational standards.
