We will capture arceye hawkfish (Paracirrhites arcatus) on Scuba in the north shore backreef. We will bring the fish to Gump and hold them in tanks in the wet lab to acclimate to marine heatwave conditions. We will measure their metabolism, feeding rates, and maximum heart rates using established protocols.
