We are interested in visiting the Desert Studies Center at Zzyzx for a few purposes: (1) to access the archive and library held at the site to learn more about the history of the Zzyzx and the historic resort, (2) to gather inspiration and develop our project (“writing retreat”), (3) to the extent possible, view the architecture and extant buildings from the Zzyzx Mineral Springs and Health Resort and other cultural resources within the area.
