We plan to utilize the Desert Studies Center as a helicopter basecamp for our desert bighorn sheep survey of the Soda Mountains. Having the Desert Studies Center as a helicopter basecamp will involve landing the helicopter at the Desert Studies Center approximately 5 times to refuel and load and unload surveyors. We also hope to stay at the Studies Center the night before the survey. Currently, the survey is scheduled for December 3rd so we would stay at the Center the night of December 2nd. If there are problems with the weather, it is possible that the survey is for 1 day anytime between December 1st and December 5th.
