Coal Oil Point Natural Reserve
30 Jun, 05 AM - 30 Jun, 01 PM
The goal of the course is to introduce students to the rocky intertidal ecosystem. Students will familiarize themselves with intertidal organisms by conducting visual biodiversity surveys with transect tapes. Additionally, to learn about intertidal temperature regimes, students will deploy temporary temperature loggers (I-buttons, minimally invasive, nickel sized loggers, attached with epoxy, which will be removed at the end of the course).
