As described in our abstract and our description of environmental manipulations, the team will be taking about 40 mussels (Mytilus californianus and/or Mytilus galloprovincialis; wild mussels are also sometimes hybridized) depending on size by hand. A 1L water sample will also be taken. All collection will be on foot and no equipment (other than a YSI for recording surface water data) will be used.
