The class is collecting data in North Campus Open Space and (assuming this request is approved) Coal Oil Point Reserve along the slough. We are making measurements using a YSI meter of dissolved oxygen, salinity, temperature, and conductivity. We would like to make water measurements at one location in Devereux Lagoon along Slough Road, ideally around halfway from Venoco bridge to the berm. We also would like to visit the berm separating the lagoon from the ocean to make visual observations and possibly (time and accessibility permitting) make water measurements on the lagoon side near the berm. This is the only visit to the reserve that would be planned during this quarter.
