Students will visit the reserve to install an additional purple air monitoring station (at the field station). Students will observe the difference in landscape compared to the mainland where our campus is located and discuss how air quality differs as a result of the environmental setting. Many of our students are first generation and from disadvantaged backgrounds- for many this may be their only trip out of the LA Basin area.
