Purpose is to conduct the annual Santa Cruz Island Christmas Bird Count which is part of the Audubon Society's annual national/international Christmas Bird Count. This year's count window is from Dec 14 to Jan 5. The island count is planned for January 4. Due to cover-19 concerns over-night housing concerns will determine how many folks will participate in the count. Most will come overnight but some will participate for the day and count from the IPCo boat. The 24 hr count period will be mid-night to midnight on Jan 4. TNC and Island Packers, along with SCIR, are co-sponsors for this event.
