Purpose is to conduct the 2023 annual Santa Cruz Island Christmas Bird Count which is part of the Audubon Society's annual national/international Christmas Bird Count. This year's count window is from Dec 14 to Jan 5. The island count is planned for January 4. Most participants will come for overnight but some will participate only for the day while counting from the IPCo boat. The 24 hr count period will be midnight to midnight on Jan 4. TNC and Island Packers, along with SCIR, are co-sponsors for this event.
