Santa Cruz Island Reserve

Students learn how to work with professional cameras including long lenses and sound equipment in the field. Students learn how to best work with natural light and the challenges of capturing good audio in a variety of circumstances. Students work in teams to develop short documentaries focusing on coastal stories and the science happening in the region. In the evenings, teams rotate each night to provide dinner & clean-up while listening to and speaking with experienced environmental filmmakers.
