Santa Cruz Island Reserve

10 Mar, 12 PM - 12 Mar, 12 PM

Microbial community assembly is influenced by dispersal limitations at the local and landscape scale (Peay et al. 2012). Both geographical and environmental factors have consistently been shown to shape microbial gene flow at large spatial scales and drive fungal population differentiation (Ellison et al. 2011; Mboup et al. 2012; Whitaker et al. 2013; Talbot et al. 2006). However, studies regarding diverging microbial populations have been conducted using just small sets of fungal species, leaving a wide range of different fungal life histories unstudied (Bronco et al. 2015). The proposed study will investigate the population structure of Suillus
