I have brought student groups to the Reserve for the past ten years or so with the assistance of Tasha La Doux. I regularly teach a course "Into the Desert" at Loyola Marymount University. It is an interdisciplinary humanities course that focuses on desert ecology as well as the history and culture of the desert. I will spend time with students hiking and exploring the reserve, as well as reflecting with them on their work in the course in this magnificent habitat.
