Landels-Hill Big Creek Reserve
19 Sep, 12 PM - 21 Sep, 03 PM
This three-day teaching retreat is designed to introduce incoming UCSC EA+SP MFA students to equitable pedagogy and teaching practices and to foreground the principles of environmental art and social practice through engagement with the natural environment at the Big Creek Reserve. Specifically, we will engage in mindful observation through sit-spots and group hikes, pedagogy training through workshops, and community building during our time together. *We have a project 'in review' for the Gatehouse, but if the Gatehouse is booked we are considering Whale Point. I will follow up about logistics.* Thank you for considering this request.
