The Jue lab is planning to have a retreat this fall in order to get to know one another and talk about the work we plan to do in the coming academic year, while exploring some of our local ecosystems and dramatic coastline. We are studying genetics, genomics, and bioinformatics, and it is easy to get stuck in the lab and forget about the landscapes we are a part of, and the larger scale of the ecosystems we study. This retreat will be an opportunity to refresh those ideas, and will give us time to interact and workshop our research projects in a new environment.
