Walk on trails and use binoculars to observe birds at the UCSC Coastal Science Campus and Younger Lagoon Reserve with a group of 16 people as a field trip for the MB Festival of Birds. Description of field trip: Join Chris Soriano on this walk through the special access Younger Lagoon Reserve, coastal prairie at UCSC, and down to Antonelli Pond. Younger Lagoon is one of the few relatively undisturbed wetlands remaining on the California Central Coast. Antonelli Pond attracts a variety of waterbirds and the surrounding willow thickets are a haven for migrants and some nesting riparian species.
