Quail Ridge Reserve
16 Mar, 12 PM - 17 Mar, 12 PM
During the visit I will collect a series of images and writings inspired by the landscape and it's history. The flooding of Berryessa Valley is of particular interest to me because as an event it represents a major shift in both agriculture and land use. It also serves as a beautiful but haunting visual reminder of the impact that humans have on the environment in the name of intensification and convenience. Dorthea Lange and Pirkle Jones captured this sentiment in their art book, Death of a Valley in 1960. My project will serve as a continuation of this idea.
