I am writing to ask about arranging a research trip to Landels Hill-Big Creek Reserve. I am a forest ecologist, UC Presidents postdoc fellow in Todd Dawson’s group at UCB, and I’m the Senior Environmental Educator at the Exploratorium museum. I am working with UCB scientists and educators at the Exploratorium to develop new types of museum experiences that accomdate social distancing as indoor museums are struggling. As both a UC scientist and a museum scientist, I’m working to build a bridge between these two important CA institutions. My goal is to visit as many of the UC reserves as I can to generate ideas and plans in situ. Please let me know if this use of a campsite for 3-4 collaborators (1 museum scientist, 1-2 UCB postdocs, and 1 non UC postdoc scientist) at Big Creek would be an acceptable use. I am already in the RAMS system and can submit a formal reservation.
