The retreat would last for 3 days with 2 nights of camping. On the first day students will arrive, get acquainted with the reserve and facilities, and participate in a reserve-based hike with optional nature journaling. On the second day the group will participate in either a reserve-based hike or a hike in the surrounding Mendocino National Forest, with a focus on naturalist observations and a picnic lunch and discussion of interpersonal communication and connection building. Post-hike the group will have open recreation time within the reserve. On the third day of the retreat the group will pack up, enjoy some final concluding group discussion, and leave the reserve by noon.
