We want to conduct a survey for macrofungi at Angelo Coast Range Reserve. As far as we know, this has not been done before and would benefit public knowledge of what species of macrofungi are present at this moment in history. This data is useful to track changes in species composition with the knowledge of our changing climate. We will use iNaturalist.org to document our findings, giving us a species list and a map of observations. Additionally, we will be able to collect specimens of importance and have access to genetic sequencing of those fruiting bodies, giving us better insight into what we find.
