19 Sep, 12 PM - 21 Sep, 05 PM

This three-day educational gathering is designed in collaboration with the Teaching & Learning Center at UCSC to introduce incoming graduate student TAs in the Environmental Art and Social Practice (EA+SP) MFA program to equitable pedagogy and teaching practices, and to foreground the principles of environmental art and social practice through engagement with the unique bioregion of the CA Central Coast. Specifically, we will be participating in facilitated workshops on inclusive teaching strategies, engaging in place-based research through observational practices such as writing and art-making, and cultivating a sense of belonging through community building sessions during our time together. Thank you for considering this request.
