Hike to the NE corner of the reserve and collect rock samples from the Schist of Sierra de Salinas and overlying granite for dating using the U-Pb zircon method and for microstructural studies using electron backscatter diffraction. Both of these are lab techniques that will be conducted after returning to Macalester college.
