The purpose of this visit is to set up a small density dependency experiment with blue milkweed beetles on Arnold Hill. I will bag thirty plants, removing any insects on the plants, then deploy ten replicates of 1, 2, and 3 breeding pairs of beetles, each replicate on an individual plant. I will then leave the bags on the plants for two and a half weeks before removing the bags.
