Hastings Natural History Reservation
07 May, 12 PM - 11 May, 12 PM
At Hastings, I will map the webs of adult females in fields previously identified by past graduate students, and measure field density as nearest-neighbor distances. Once individual webs are identified, a subsample of females will be collected from each field and returned to our invertebrate rearing facility at the University of Toronto where I will conduct behavioral tests, and extract DNA for RADseq population genetic analyses. This study is one chapter of my PhD thesis work being completed at the University of Toronto.
