Hastings Natural History Reservation
06 May, 12 PM - 08 May, 12 PM
This trip is a weekend-long retreat to Hastings Reserve where students have the opportunity to get introduced to field biology techniques, and build community. Through immersion in local natural environments, we hope students gain an appreciation for work central to IB that isn’t always highlighted. We plan to host small-mammal trapping demos, plant hikes, herping trips, and morning birding trips to give the students a crash course in field biology techniques. In addition there will be social events geared towards building community, such as group discussions and presentations.
