Dig soil pits or auger into the soil down to 2 meters in a grassland area. We will collect soil samples at different depths in the soil profile at 3-5 sites near Figueroa Creek. We will spend 2-3 days at the reserve collecting these samples and making descriptions of the soil profiles. We would like to visit the week of 6/28-7/2 or 7/26-7/30.
