I will scope out sites for riparian trees to include in a tree coring study. We will extract several cores, to bring back to analyze for climate/growth relationships. We will also scope out oak woodland sites for a similar study on Quercus agrifolia, and also sample shallow soil around oak trees, which we will analyze for mycorrhizal associations
