On this visit to Sedgewick Reserve, I plan to expand the sampling range of Habronattus jumping spiders. The Reserve is placed between two different species, Habronattus mustaciatus and Habronattus tarsalis (Central Valley morph). I plan on collecting whichever species is present (potentially both) to examine their courtship behaviors. 10 living adult male spiders will be sent to our collaborators that will record their courtship displays. These videos will be used to quantify their courtship and compare them among related species.
