This is for Cal State Fullerton's upper-division course for Biology majors, Field Marine Biology (BIOL317). We go out weekly to compare and contrast the abiotic and biotic components of different marine habitats, mostly in southern California, but this weekend trip to Rancho Marino will give the students experience in comparing what they have seen in southern California to a pristine central California rocky intertidal habitat. We will also explore the natural history of the Reserve.
