Students will be given an introduction to the natural history and ecology of the reserve before conducting group research projects spanning the weekend. Each group will decide on an ecological question concerning a system or organism in the reserve and then design a methodology, collect data, and present findings on their question to their peers. The overarching goal of the weekend is to introduce students to the scientific process and specifically, show how keen natural history observation can be linked to the design and execution of ecological field studies.
