In this day visit (on Sunday March 13), we plan on surveying Blue Oak just to get our bearings. None of my research group members have been to the Ranch so before we begin taking measurements, we would like to familiarize ourself with the site. We also plan on picking out our experimental plots and labeling the location for future sampling. We will be choosing plots in areas that burned in the SCU fire, plots in unburned areas, and choosing Coyote Brush bushes in these plots that we will sample from. No sampling or measurements will be taken on this day trip.
