Blue Oak Ranch Reserve

22 Aug, 09 AM - 22 Aug, 01 PM

I plan to conduct a resampling of lace lichen (Ramalina menziesii) individuals from the Blue Oak Ranch Reserve. These lace lichen species thrive on host plants such as Quercus lobata, Q. douglasii, and Q. garryana. Throughout the sampling process, we intend to collect from up to five different trees per area. To ensure comprehensive analysis, we will gather two sets of samples for each lichen: one for DNA analysis and another as an herbarium voucher specimen. Each lichen sample will be sufficient to fill at least a sandwich-sized Ziplock bag with lichen material.
