We would like to do field sketching, and observe oak woodlands and riparian corridors. We would like to use the trip to teach students how to observe an environmental gradient using a transect and how to collect data to produce a species-area curve (both using plant ID only). We will be discussing beaver dam analogs, but we don't want to disturb any beaver that are present. We don't actually need to see any beaver dams or lodges. We just need to see a riparian area.
