Blue Oak Ranch Reserve
16 Nov, 10 AM - 17 Nov, 03 PM
Our central purpose is to augment/grow learning we are doing in First-Year Writing courses about the human-nature relationship in the U.S. context (Matt) and food (Nick) through place-based, experiential learning at the reserve. Curriculum will include lessons in local food systems, oak woodland ecology, and land management (through public and private institutions), but we hope to offer opportunities to explore and learn from the land, which will inspire student writing on- and off-site.
