Yosemite Field Station

America's national parks are very peculiar in that they hold great symbolic meaning in representing the most beautiful natural environments in the world but they are also among the best protected in the world by way of excellent legislation in a country that is, ironically, the world's most representative of both capitalist consumption as well as individual free will. No other place in the world would offer such an interesting and intricate history and relationship between human beings and nature, not to mention the abundance of locations to meditate upon those issues.
The primary objective is to capture human traces alongside these wonderful sceneries to bring awareness to man's impact on nature's creation. The end result of my research and travels will be an exhibition that showcases this theme and hopefully affect people’s perception of “Leave No Trace.” The concept of “Leave No Trace” seems to be the most appropriate means for protecting our natural environment.
