Writing retreat for a graduate student. I study drought adaptations in different ecotypes of Blue oaks in California. I am doing various greenhouse experiments testing drought adaptations of mesic and xeric ecotypes and also common garden work testing out assisted gene flow on Blue oaks. I am trying to work on the manuscript of my first chapter and this writing retreat would be an excellent way to get away from my college and focus on my writing.
