In collaboration with YNP researchers, we plan to collect fuels, vegetation, bat acoustics, and terrestrial LiDAR data. A field crew of 3-4 will assist in collecting these data to re-sample established plots in Illilouette Creek Basin and create new, long-term monitoring plots in Frog Creek. Our hope is to determine the ecological impacts and operational constraints of managed fire at the landscape scale to inform folks at the park about ways to optimize and improve the current managed fire program.
