I have colleagues visiting from a research institute in Brazil, and have been working with these colleagues for many years on drought tree mortality impacts in forests of the Brazilian Amazon. I have new research on drought mortality impacts in the Sierras. My Brazilian colleagues and I will use the trails near the Yosemite Field Station to explore drought effects we have quantified using satellite remote sensing methods for use in a comparative paper. We will not be carrying out any collections or field samples.
