As part of a field trip to eastern and southern California for a class focused on natural disasters, we will be staying at Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center for one night as we move from examining features related to wildland fires in the San Diego County area to considering seismic and volcanic risk in the Salton Trough. We will not be carrying out any class activities related to collection, animal or plant populations, cultural resources, etc. in the reserve.
