We plan to visit the facility to understand the possibilities for classes, research, and meetings. Both Profs. Bracken and Sorte are faculty members at UCI, and Prof. Bracken hasn't had an opportunity to check out the field station yet. In particular, he is now working with faculty on campus to assess impacts associated with Salton Sea water use policies, and he wants to evaluate the Steele/Burnard Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center as a base for some activities.
