Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center
13 Apr, 08 PM - 15 Apr, 12 PM
This visit to the Anzo-Borrego reserve will serve as a field excursion for an upper-division ecology class of approximately 12-15 undergraduate students, 2 professors, and possibly a visiting elementary school teacher. The goal of the trip is to expose the students to the desert biome and explore the diverse habitats that exist within the desert. We will be discussing community ecology, but will also tie in topics from throughout the semester. Our data collection, if any, will be used for class reports and not intended for publication. We are also interested in helping with invasive species removal, if possible.
