We plan to visit the State Park and Research Centre in order to complete preliminary geological research on the Lyceum Formation's 'sediment wave' bedforms. We hope to receive an introduction to current research by Logan West (of University of Texas) and his supervisor Professor Ron Steel. The research is a supplement to my PhD project, which focuses on using oil and gas data to further the understanding of sediment waves formations. If successful, it is likely we will return to Borrego Springs for further research and publish on our findings.
