Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center
15 Mar, 05 PM - 17 Mar, 10 AM
We intend to walk the grounds of the reserve and the Anza Borrego State Park, observing organisms that we encounter. Students will be divided into four squads of 2-3 students each, and there will be squads observing, identifying in the field, and photographing plants, birds, herps/mammals, and invertebrates. Students will be making extensive use of iNaturalist to document their observations, record their identifications, etc. We do not intend to interact with any wildlife in any fashion that will require a permit, instead this is a chance for Florida students to learn the natural history of the desert by documenting it.
