Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center

15 to 20 people from State Parks and the US Army Corps of Engineers to meet for a FUDS kickoff meeting. The Army Corps of Engineers will be conducting a Remedial Investigation of preexisting US Military munition sites in Dry Clark Lake and Military Wash. FUDS is an acronym for "formerly used defense sites". Staff from Natural, Cultural, and Paleo will be attending along with a couple of staff members from Ocotillo Wells. (PM), Jonathan Whipple (SPK-Chemist), Cheryl Webster (SPA-Geo), Jim Hub (SPL), Mark Jones (SPK), Steve Woody (Biologist), Terra Salamida (Environmental Engineer), Jim Lukasla(?) (SPK).
