We would like to stay on the reserve to prepare for a planned outreach visit to Imperial County. On Monday, May 15, we organized a community workshop in Niland to share information with the local community. This event is intended to create an opportunity for people who live near the lithium resource to ask the research team questions and share their experiences and feedback. On May 16 we are speaking with students at Imperial Valley College who are interested in learning more about lithium and geothermal. Besides being conveniently located, staying on the reserve will give us a peaceful space to practice our presentation material and strategize to facilitate conversations effectively.
