Steele/Burnand Anza-Borrego Desert Research Center

12 Apr, 05 PM - 14 Apr, 09 AM

I'd like to bring my BIOL340 Desert Biology class to stay at the research station. The learning outcomes of the course are: 1. Compare and contrast mechanisms of desert formation. 2. Illustrate how variability in the physical environment relate to the diversity and distribution of floral and faunal communities. 3. Summarize physiological, morphological, and behavioral adaptations to the desert environment. 4. Identify a wide range of desert organisms in and around Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. 5. Evaluate changes through time in human habitation and practices in the Lower Colorado Desert. 6. Apply field techniques to track the activity and distribution of desert organisms.
