Walking tour to learn about the Reserve’s natural history, geology, ecology, land management (cattle grazing), and stewardship (monitoring of threatened and endangered species), with an emphasis on ongoing research activities as part of Research Week, and including viewing and identification of local flora and fauna. The tour will also focus on conservation advocacy, explaining the history of UC Merced and the need for strict conservation lands, leave no trace ethics, land stewardship and protection of T&E species.
