Point Reyes Field Station
08 Apr, 09 AM - 10 Apr, 04 PM
The Indigenous Environmental Studies lab at UC Berkeley is an interdisciplinary research group of graduate students led by Prof. Elizabeth Hoover. We are all a part of the Department of Environmental Science, Policy, and Management and do interdisciplinary work involving ecology, land rights, arthropods, cultural plants, land stewardship, and food sovereignty. We are hoping to spend a weekend retreat at the Point Reyes Field Station in order to discuss our lab group's goals and structures, dig into individual and collaborative research projects, write, and increase our sense of belonging and community at Berkeley. We will also be joined by Prof Peter Nelson, who will lead us on a local hike near the station to gain a deeper sense of place and the Indigenous history of the area.
