For our lab retreat, we plan to use the setting of Port Reyes as an off-campus location to reflect on our future lab goals and what we have accomplished in the past academic year. We plan to have mini-workshops within our group to discuss outreach, DEI, and academic/research goals. We hope that the beautiful natural setting of Point Reyes will encourage the use of outdoor spaces, lab hikes, and maybe a friendly iNaturalist competition among our lab members.
